So I was shooting pictures of the ducks and geese at Rocky Point park in Port Moody when the birds suddenly became agitated and noisy. I looked up from my viewfinder to see a Bald Eagle passing overhead then landing in a nearby tree. Then I looked to my right and not more than 10 feet away stood this very frightened heron. He didn't seem to mind my presence and used me for protection until the eagle left. I got many shots of him, but this pose was his best. Thank you Mr. H!
